When Dani Rosetti, a world-famous celebrity chef, was hired to cater a gourmet dinner party in Santa Fe, New Mexico, it sounded heavenly. The guests scheduled to attend were some of the wealthiest Native American art collectors in the United States, and the dinner was to be held on the eve of the legendary Indian Market which takes place each year in August.
In addition to the art collectors who would be attending the dinner, two art dealers and a beloved Native American artist were also on the invite list. But the threat of murder is never heavenly!
Dani’s sous-chef, Arthur, who is also the owner of an international private investigation firm, reviewed the list of invitees for the dinner and became very concerned. His research led him to believe that several guests might have a reason why they’d like to see one of the art dealers dead, and the others might as well.
It seems the art dealer from New York, Julian Schimmer, is alleged to have sold fake Indian art pieces to several of the guests invited to the dinner. But what Arthur can’t figure out is why Annabelle Rosen, the hostess, and probably the most successful gallery owner in Santa Fe, would invite Julian to the dinner?
She was hosting the dinner for her wealthy clients, some of whom had bought fakes from Julian, which she well knew. Was Annabelle using the occasion as a carrot for romance with him? Julian would have a unique opportunity to meet her clients, and maybe, just maybe, he’d be so indebted to her that there would be a chance for romance. After all, the New York art dealer was a very, very attractive man.
And so the age-old motives of greed and romance rear their ugly heads on the night before Indian Market, a night none of the guests will ever forget, nor will Dani!

Murdered Underground
- The Ozarks Cozy Mystery Series
Just the thought of a cave is scary.
You know, one with utter blackness and full of bats.
But what about a dead body?
Now, that’s really scary!
When Della attends a dinner party given by the new owners of a cave in the scenic Ozark Mountains, she’s really looking forward to seeing the cave, one that she and her deceased husband visited many years ago.
Unfortunately when the dinner group is given a tour of the cave, they find a dead body. Who is he? How did he get there? It’s been almost ten years since the cave was sealed off to questionable visitors who used it for illegal purposes.
Did the man’s death have something to do with the illegal activities that took place in the cave years ago? Did he die of natural causes, or from an accident, or was he murdered?
Driven by curiosity, and in an attempt to learn more about the man who died in the cave, Della talks to a convict, the woman the dead man loved, and a heartbroken sister still grieving over his disappearance.
Sheriff Metcalf pleads with Della to leave the sleuthing to him, but she’s driven to find out the truth about the man’s strange death and disappearance. Seems that the sheriff has a more personal interest in Della, and that’s why he doesn’t want her involved in the investigation. She might be the next victim!

That’s the thought Ella has when she visits her cousin in Toronto hours after a famous author living next door to her, Howard Ross, was murdered.
A lot of people could profit from the author’s death. His publisher and his children certainly would, and the author’s romantic interest and his bitter literary foe might likewise benefit.

But what happens during the many years subsequent to the author’s death? The years when his print books, eBooks, audiobooks, and other merchandise will continue to sell. Who will own those valuable rights? That’s where the real money lies, and his will should certainly spell it out, shouldn’t it? That would certainly be worth murdering for, wouldn’t it?

The Confession
- Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series
What Father Brown hadn’t counted on was that the penitent would tell him exactly how she was going to murder Nikki Rice and when and where.
In many states, if someone is threatened or their life is in jeopardy, doctors, lawyers, psychiatrists, school personnel, and others who may have knowledge of such a threat, are required by law to report it to the appropriate authorities. Not so for Catholic priests. They are required to do the exact opposite, namely, nothing.
It was a situation unlike anything the aging priest had ever faced, because he was bound by canon law never to reveal what someone told him when they were in the confessional booth. But when the person to be murdered was the godmother of a baby he would be baptizing in his church, and part of a family unit he’d been close with for over fifty years, it created an internal struggle for Father Brown, the likes of which he’d never encountered.
Kelly, the owner of Kelly’s Koffee Shop, was the grandmother of the baby who was going to be baptized. And that baptism was where the murder would be taking place.
Kelly’s husband, Sheriff Mike, heard about the impending murder from several sources, but none of them could reveal how they knew about the impending murder. Essentially, they fell into the category of anonymous tips, and often those weren’t all that reliable. Even so, he’s faced with two difficult choices. Either cancelling the baptism or doing everything in his power to make sure the murder doesn’t happen. But what if it does?

And when those events include blackmail and affairs, they begin to wonder if the bride had a lot more secrets than her new husband knew about.

The Backseat Mystery
- Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery Series Book 25
A dead man is found in the backseat of his own car.
A medical emergency?
Or something far more sinister? Like murder?
And he was a recovering addict. Could he have overdosed on drugs?
That’s what Brigid and Sheriff Davis need to find out when they begin to assess the situation. Even though the dead man, Frankie, had been successful at fighting his addiction, when it comes to an ex-addict’s death, there seems to be a built-in bias that they’ve slipped, and their death was a result of that slip. As they work on the case, Brigid has to fight her own bias of thinking that way.
But as they begin to talk to the people Frankie knew, like his ex-wife, a picture evolves of an ex-addict doing everything he could possibly do to stay clean. He desperately wants to reconcile with his wife, and he knows the reason she left him was because of his drug abuse, which is all the more reason for him to stay clean.
Did someone hate Frankie enough to murder him and then put him in the backseat of his car? When the coroner’s report comes back that Frankie died of an overdose, it seems like a pretty open and shut case. But why would someone overdose in the backseat of their own car that was parked next to a gas station?
None of it makes sense, at least not to Brigid and Sheriff Davis, and so they continue to try and find out exactly what happened in the time period right before Frankie’s death.
And when they do discover the truth, it’s a very good thing that Brigid’s big Newfoundland dog and her husband decide to help!

And if they had the flower, it would make them rich beyond their wildest dreams.
But that’s not the only reason people want to kill her.
If you’re one of them, you’ll probably have to stand in line and take a number.
When Dani’s contacted by Lady Ellen Pemberton to cater a dinner the night before the Dahlia Show she’s hosting in the village of Tintagal in North Cornwall, England, she’s completely put off by the woman’s imperious attitude. Dani finally agrees to do it only because her young niece, Anna, is completely enthralled by the legend of King Arthur, and the dinner is taking place very near King Arthur’s castle.
When she and Arthur, her sous-chef, who also owns an international private investigation firm, arrive in the small village where the dinner is to held, she finds out the woman is far worse than she’d imagined. Murder on the Rooftop
- Northwest Cozy Mystery Series
A police fundraiser.
An argument.
A note saying “Come to the rooftop.”
A fatal fall from the roof.
Was it suicide or murder?
A man is arrested for murder within minutes of the victim falling to his death from the rooftop of a hotel where a police fundraiser is being held. The arrest is based solely on earlier harsh words between two men, and it doesn’t add up. At least not to Jake and Al, private investigators hired to look into it by a wealthy friend of the accused.
The banquet room was full of police. After all, it was a police fundraiser, but Al and Jake think Gio La Serta’s arrest was a little too sudden and a little too convenient. Then strange things begin to happen to them. Black cars start following them, Jake is handed a thumb drive while on a ferry by a person who disappears, and the gas tank cover on Jake’s truck has obviously been tampered with.
It becomes obvious someone doesn’t want them to discover the truth about Niles Balderelli’s murder, and now Al and Jake have gone from being hunters to being the prey. But are they beginning to discover the truth a little too late?
