Author Description:
Regina Puckett is a 2014 Readers' Favorite Award winning author for her sweet romance, Concealed in My Heart. Her boxed set, A TOUCH OF PASSION, is the 2016 WINNER of The Romance Reviews Readers' Choice Awards.

Memories, won first place in the 1st WSBR International Poetry Contest, and her collection of poetry, Fireflies, won the 2013 Turning Pages Poetry Book of the Year.

Regina Puckett has been writing for over forty-eight years, and lives in Tennessee with her husband of over forty years. She has two grown daughters and four grandchildren.

She writes sweet romances, horror, inspirational, steampunk, picture books and poetry. There are always several projects in various stages of completion and characters and stories waiting in the wings for their chance to finally get out of her head and onto paper.

Interview Excerpt

Next: I’m working on the next two books in my new steampunk series, The Men of Forbidden, and writing short stories for my next horror book, Short Tales of Horror Part III.

Social media: I jumped onto Twitter without the vaguest notion about what I was doing. Somehow by accident and pure dumb luck, I made several friends from all over the world and my love affair with Twitter took off. Since I write several different genres, I don’t really have a ‘niche’ on social media.

Personal appearances: My readers can keep up with all of my plans for book signings and new releases by following me on Facebook.

Covers: I pick all of the photos for my book covers. It’s my drug of choice. I love a new cover. Sometimes I think I write just so I can create a new one. I’m not only a writer but an avid reader so I know how important a book cover is. They’re the first thing I look at and will only read the synopsis if it attracts my interest. It doesn’t matter how well written or edited a book is, if you lose the reader before they open to the first page.

Audio books: We live during a time where so many people are too busy to read but do enjoy listening to audiobooks as they exercise, drive to work or are jammed shoulder to shoulder with strangers on airplanes. Audiobooks are just another way to market my stories. You have readers who prefer print over ebooks, and those who had rather listen than read.

Short stories: I started writing short stories as a way of introducing myself to readers who might not want to invest more of their time or money getting acquainted with me. The funny thing is though, now I prefer writing novellas.

Author bundles: I was asked to join the other authors in this collection. It seemed like a good way of connecting with new readers. Concealed in My Heart is the first romance novel in my The Warren Family series. Since including it in A Touch of Passion, sales for the other four novels have increased.

Author Description:
Award-winning author Tom Swyers first had an audience on the edge of their seat (and the girls giggling) when his play, "The Great Train Robbery," made its debut in the seventh grade.

After high school, he worked his way through some of the best colleges in the country. Employed in a variety of jobs ranging from a late-night convenience store clerk to a fine jewelry salesperson, Tom eventually graduated from college and then worked his way through law school in the caverns of Wall Street.

Since then, he's studied at the New York State Summer Writer's Institute at Skidmore College. He's also a member of both the Authors Guild and the Hudson Valley Writers Guild.

Along the way, he married his high school sweetheart and raised a family. With that came baseball, but that's another story ("Saving Babe Ruth"). Tom is also an award-winning youth sports advocate.

When he isn't writing or reading, Tom is usually running (literally) away from trouble on the back roads of Upstate, New York where he lives with his family and two cats (really two dogs working undercover).

Interview Excerpt

Next: I hope to have The Killdeer Connection out by the end of 2016. I’m really excited about it.

"Struggling lawyer David Thompson returns from Saving Babe Ruth and is in a race to save himself and his family…

Social media: I enjoy Twitter and it helps me connect with folks. I’ve met a lot of people through social media like Facebook and I think its essential part of an author’s “platform.” I’m not sure how much it’s carried over to my writing success, but I enjoy it.

Personal appearances: I have recently spoken at Albany Institute of History and Art, The Norman Rockwell Museum, and Binghamton University. I don’t have anything planned currently because I’m spending so much time working to get The Killdeer Connection published.

The best way to keep up with me is to join my readers group at this link: http://www.subscribepage.com/q5d1x6

YouTube clip for Saving Babe Ruth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhbzzRo44TU

Support groups: I belong to a few writers groups on Facebook. We help each other with the marketing aspect mostly. That aspect of the business is ever changing. What worked a few months ago might not be working well today. Things change that fast and you have to try and keep up. In order to be a “successful” author today, I think you have to both be a good writer and a good marketer. Depending how you define success, marketing might be a more important skill than your skill as a writer.

Blog: The primary goal of my blog is to connect with readers by sharing information that might be of interest.

When I’m intensely involved with writing a book, my presence on social media and on my blog slip. There’s never enough time in the day to do all that you supposed to do. If I did all that I was supposed to do on social media and my blog, there would be no time to write novels.

Reviews: I sought professional reviews for Saving Babe Ruth and received them. They were universally positive. The book won two Benjamin Franklin Book Awards last year in addition to other awards.

My reading audience has been more than generous in providing reviews. I encourage and appreciate feedback. More than anything, I appreciate their support because I’m nothing as a writer without the generosity of readers. I’d gladly give up all the awards and professional reviews to connect with more readers.

Featured Book: A Spider Comes Calling

Life after death just got deadlier. Mrs. Beatrice Timmons (aka Miss Knight) is thoroughly unimpressed by the troop of monkeys that have invaded her kitchen. Of course, that’s only the beginning of the influx of undesirable critters. When a giant spider appears in the garden, Mrs. Timmons knows there’s trouble brewing and it’s not served with tea. A choice must be made: agree to an unholy alliance or endanger an unborn child? To confound matters further, her husband disapproves of the whole venture. And that’s before Mrs. Timmons vanishes into the Underworld to pay an unsolicited visit to the God of Death. While it’s all for a good cause, the consequences could be dire.

A Spider Comes Calling is the sixth case in “Society for Paranormals”, where African myth meets Victorian manners. If you adore “Pride & Prejudice”, appreciate British humor, enjoy paranormal mysteries, or would love to experience adventure in colonial Africa, start your supernatural safari now.

Author Description:
I’ve been a writer since I could hold pen to paper, which is a lot longer than I care to admit. As in: since I was seven. Yes, that long ago.

My first story was about a naughty unicorn. I wrote it out by hand (this was way before the computer got personal) and illustrated every page with candy-coloured pencil crayons. It was the first and last time I did my own cover art.

I always hesitate when people ask me where I’m from. There’s no one-word answer to that. Born in South Africa and raised in Canada, I’ve lived in Kenya since mid-2000 with my husband, our two children and an assortment of animals with varying degrees of wildness.

When I’m not writing, running a radio show or daydreaming about African ghosts and myths, I pretend to work as an environmental consultant. Don’t you just hate it when work gets in the way?!

Author Description:
Mark Pannebecker started falling asleep just over ten years ago when he lost his desire to write. Thinking it was just a nap, a writer’s block, he closed his eyes. But attempts to awaken and force himself out of his writer’s block failed. Months rolled into years where Mark wrote nothing yet still called himself a writer. The years languished over him as he slowly lost his dharma. And so he slept, without a life purpose, following the dreams of others. Until an insignificant event occurred that awoke him. He lost a job that held great promise (one of many). After all the yoga and kirtans and meditation and breath-work and chi gong and getting in touch with his feminine and chanting and searching the metaphysical for answers and the soul searching and the soul expansion and the embrace of the Goddesses, the Buddha, the Hindu gods, it was this seemingly insignificant event that lifted the veil. And just like that, Mark’s muse returned carrying his dharma.

Mark had never tried to get published in the past for he loved the process of creating and was happy riding his motorcycle, traveling, living, loving, and writing. But it is time now to put the body of his work out there and pick up where he left off. He is proud of his past work that he offers now and hopes you enjoy it. Mark is in the process of preparing and writing new work, alive and fresh from a long slumber.

Mark Pannebecker is an author of fiction. He started out as a filmmaker but soon fell in love with the creative writing process and began to shift his focus from producing and directing films to writing screenplays. He wrote in whichever genre held the narrative best. He’s written screenplays, stage plays, novels, novellas, and has recently published a collection of poetry titled Motorcycle Boy Lives and a collection of short stories titled Godsfood. His first novel, Fraternity of Fractures, was originally written as a screenplay and was published in 2015. His second novel, Myth of Love, will be published in the latter part of 2016.

Author Description:
P.C. Zick describes herself as a storyteller no matter what she writes. And she writes in a variety of genres, including romance, contemporary fiction, and nonfiction. She's won various awards for her essays, columns, editorials, articles, and fiction.

The three novels in her Florida Fiction Series contain stories of Florida and its people and environment, which she credits as giving her a rich base for her storytelling. "Florida's quirky and abundant wildlife—both human and animal—supply my fiction with tales almost too weird to be believable."

Her contemporary romances in the Behind the Love trilogy are also set in Florida. Her most recent works are set in the Smoky Mountains. All of her books are stand-alone reads, even if they appear in a series.

Her novels contain elements of romance with strong female characters, handsome heroes, and descriptive settings. She believes in living lightly upon this earth with love, laughter, and passion, and through her fiction, she imparts this philosophy in an entertaining manner with an obvious love for her characters, plot, and themes.
